Historically, there has been a bookstore located at 18 East Main Street in Clifton Springs for over 100 years. After Devereaux’s closed in 1990, the storefront held various retail businesses and reopened as Explore! The Bookstore in 2008. In 2019, it became the store you now know as Sulfur Books. Rich Cooley’s book is a walk down memory lane at the old Devereaux’s Book Store and a look at the nostalgic and historical importance of the bookstore in the town of Clifton Springs.
