West End Gallery in Corning is excited to announce the opening of a new exhibit, “In the Spotlight!” The exhibit features new work by 6 regional artists working in a variety of mediums. This show allows them to showcase their talents in the “spotlight.” Here are 2016’s Spotlight Artists:
Bruce Baxter of Bath has an impressionistic style all his own and is known for his beautiful figurative work and paintings of local Market Street scenes. See his work above.
Anne Bialke of Trumansburg paints beautiful florals in an impressionistic style. Her work exudes a peacefulness and soft glow which is often appreciated by many viewers and collectors alike.
Jennifer Fais of Cameron Mills is well-known for her use of watercolors and mixed media depicting her subjects of Corning scenes, birds and landscapes. Fais also works with clients creating commissioned works of art.
Marc Rubin of Elmira is known for his traditional representational still-lifes which occasionally reflect a whimsical theme.
Judy Soprano of Rochester has been with the Gallery for nearly 20 years and is well-known for her watercolors of winter landscapes and rural scenes. Her years of experience show in her paintings as the paint seems to seamlessly and flawlessly fall off the end of her paintbrush.
