Give a gift from the heART! Just in time for Valentine’s Day, West End Gallery announces the celebration and debut of their 31st Annual “Little Gems” exhibit, which opens with a Reception on Friday, February 7th from 5-7pm. The show features an exciting new collection of small artwork created by 50 of the region’s most talented emerging artists and nationally known artists. This has been one of our most highly anticipated exhibits for over three decades. Meet the featured artists, enjoy live music by harpist, Meredith Kohn Bocek and tasty treats created by Old World Cafe. Mingle with fellow art lovers, the art-curious, and community members. Families are encouraged to visit. Anyone who has not yet visited the Gallery is highly encouraged to attend this event which is free and open to the public.
The exhibit is scheduled to open just before Valentine’s Day because these sweet “Little Gems” make perfect Valentine’s Day Gifts. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating over three decades of “Little Gems”! We had amazing participation for this exhibit and artists created nearly 200 new “gem-sized” works of art that will be on view and available for purchase! Submissions this year include paintings, glass, collage, mixed media, pottery, jewelry, and more! Subjects range from traditional representational to abstract to whimsical to the downright humorous “punny paintings.”
