Beginning in 2025 all power boat operators in New York will be required to have a Safe Boating License. Join NY State Guide and ACA certified instructor, Scott Janas, to learn the basic principles of safe and responsible boating.
This 8 hour classroom course is an introduction to the basic principles of safe and responsible boating. Students successfully completing this course earn a safe boating certificate. Must be at least 10 years old to participate.
To help ensure New York’s waterways remain safe and enjoyable, this course teaches basic boating skills and encourages common sense and courtesy to all who share the water. Topics covered include rules of the nautical road, required safety equipment, special boating related activities and many more. The cost of this course is $50 per person – $25 for veterans and minors. A portion of this cost benefits the Saunders Finger Lakes Museum. Please follow the link below to register.
