Learn about Metal Detecting Discoveries in Seneca County on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 7:00 pm at the Geneva History Museum, 543 S. Main Street, Geneva. The program is sponsored by the Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes in cooperation with Historic Geneva. It is free and the public is invited.

Rebecca J. Eastman and Jess Youngquest will reveal their intriguing discoveries that were hidden below our landscape. Rebecca and Jess are metal detectorists with deep roots in Seneca County. Rebecca resides in Ovid, New York, where she is part of a family-run vineyard, while Jess calls the neighboring town of Lodi, New York home, where he works as a local handyman.

Jess has spent more than four decades searching for and uncovering buried treasures across the region. Rebecca, though introduced to the hobby as a young girl, has devoted herself to it seriously over the past decade. Together, their finds span a remarkable range — from coins and antique toys to crotal bells and, quite literally, a kitchen sink.
