“How Did We Get Here?” is a collection of sculpted prints and paintings that Ithaca artist Werner Sun made over the past seven years. As an artist with a background in physics, he believes that scientific methods tend to mirror our thought patterns at large and extends this scientific approach to his artistic practice. He is first of two artists to be featured in the West End Arts Campus’ Emerging Artists project this year. His work will be displayed simultaneously in the Schweinfurth Art Center and Cayuga Museum of History & Art.
An opening reception will be held 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025. The event is free and open to the public.
The Schweinfurth is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays starting April 5 and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. The gallery is closed Mondays and Tuesdays and April 20 for Easter. The Cayuga Museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission to each museum is $10 per person, but a joint admission pass is available for $15. You can buy the joint ticket at either institution.
