It’s a Wonderful Life – in Seneca Falls

Seneca Falls will celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Premiere of It’s a Wonderful Life on December 9, 10 & 11, 2016 during an action-packed three-day It’s a Wonderful Life Festival.  The Bailey kids, Karolyn Grimes (Zuzu Bailey), Carol Coombs (Janie Bailey) and Jimmy Hawkins (Tommy Bailey), will greet fans and make special presentations about the importance of preserving the history and message of It’s a Wonderful Life, together with their recollections of working as child actors and meeting each other on the set in 1946. 

They will be joined by Mary Owen, Donna Reed’s daughter, who will discuss her mother’s pioneering efforts to challenge gender and racial stereotypes as well as her influential role in Another Mother for Peace.  Monica Capra Hodges will share memories of her grandfather, Frank Capra, and make a special presentation from her father (Tom Capra) to The Seneca Falls It’s a Wonderful Life Museum.  Lynn O’Leary Jameson, who played Janie as a baby at the age of 28 days will also make the journey to Seneca Falls for the first time to participate in the 70thAnniversary Celebration.

There will be countless activities to participate in throughout the three days, including a bonfire, food, music, arts and charity events.
