This fall, enjoy the benefits of a well-planned trip without all the planning.

For the second year in a row, Cayuga County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau is promoting spontaneous fall travel to Cayuga County with their “(Un)Plan a Getaway” campaign. Considering the continued and/or renewed lack of certainty around COVID-19, the office of tourism recognizes that advanced planning for travelers can be a challenge and at some times frustrating. They’re addressing the issue by encouraging people from around the region to take a last-minute trip to Cayuga County to discover its award-winning breweries, wonderful dining options, scenic outdoor activities, as well as the wholesome fall fun offered at local orchards and farms.

“Over the past 18 months, people have realized just how much there is to see and do right in their own backyards,” said Cayuga County Office of Tourism Executive Director, Karen Kuhl.  “We’ve been truly inspired by the creative ways our local businesses have responded to the challenging times we’re living in, and we hope to attract visitors from around the region to come explore all we have to offer. Fall is a wonderful time to hop on the road and go!”

You can travel confidently to Cayuga County knowing that businesses and attractions are doing everything they can to provide a safe, welcoming, and fun experience. Enjoy the small city vibe of downtown Auburn and head to Fair Haven, Aurora, or Moravia to get recharged, refreshed, and relax by one of our eight lakes. Discover your new favorite craft beverage, try one of our great restaurants, and explore our beautiful nature trails.
