Dessert fans will rejoice as Tour Cayuga is happy to announce the official launch of The Finger Lakes Sweet Treat Trail on May 1, 2021. Come out for a safe activity for visitors of all ages, where our partners make every effort to keep your health and comfort in mind.
The whole family can enjoy this edible showcase highlighting the delicious, sweet treats made with locally sourced ingredients right here in Cayuga County. Visit farm stands, ice cream parlors, U-pick fruit fields, bakeries, cafés, and stores to tempt your taste buds. Get your tasty tour pass stamped at any participating location beginning in May and continuing through the end of November. Be sure to look for Original Goodies along the way, including a partner collaboration this year! That’s right, returning partner Reese’s Dairy Bar has a special treat in store made with cookies by newbie XL Cookie Company. (Hint, ice cream cookie sandwich!)
The Finger Lakes Sweet Treat Trail is an award-winning trail featuring 20 partners for the 2021 season. The trail is considered one of the best food trails as voted by readers of USA Today and 10Best, as well as being recognized with a Tourism Excellence Award from the New York State Tourism Industry Association.
An impressive gift basket filled with contributions from all 20 partners will be raffled on December 1, 2021 for those participants who visit at least 10 stops, and a grander basket will be raffled for those especially motivated who visit all 20 partners. Look for pop-up stands on select dates in coordination with the Taste NY Market at the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center’s Saturday Market this summer.
