Tom and Martha Baker
The Golden Years have arrived at The Furniture Doctor, Inc. but that doesn’t mean the Doctor has retired. Quite the contrary, Tom Baker, the furniture doctor, will be celebrating 50 years of expert furniture restoration service this February 2024. Tom feels “there’s no better reward in the business world than building a career out of a passion. My passion is furniture conservation. We are the original recyclers!”
Together with his daughter Martha Baker – President of the corporation, they’ve built a business that specializes in all facets of furniture restoration as well as offering new Lodge, Rustic; Adirondack & Western style furniture, lighting and accessories. The Furniture Doctor, Inc. has evolved into a local source offering a wide assortment of unique gifts, many of which are customized to reflect the stores proximity to the beautiful Finger Lakes region! Customers often return with out of town guests to share the experience of this friendly and inviting atmosphere.
Custom service has been the key to their success. The Furniture Doctor is located at 7007 State Routes 5&20, Bloomfield, NY, just 12 minutes from Canandaigua and 26 minutes from downtown Rochester. Store hours are Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
