Chef’s Table

Chef’s Table classes are designed to be fun, relaxing, and an escape from the daily grind. They are a great way to learn basic cooking techniques while enjoying your family and friends in our Hands-On Kitchen. Knife Skills

May 22 at 11am

Become the proud owner of a brand-new Mercer 8” French chef’s knife when you sign up for this hands-on experience! Slice, mince, and julienne your way to an understanding of produce fabrication techniques, maintenance, and care of your new Mercer cutlery. You will have the opportunity to practice with a variety of New York State vegetables and fruits, as well as learn how to portion cut a whole chicken.

Join us for our Pizza & Chicken Fingers Workshop and learn how to make both alongside New York Kitchen’s Chef Instructor as they explain what makes a great dough and a perfect sauce. Together we’ll slather and stack our pizzas with all types of fresh, seasonal ingredients. You’ll also create the perfect crispy chicken fingers to pair with your pizza.

Exploring Italy: Napoli

In our upcoming cooking class of the Exploring Italy series, we will travel to the region of Campania and the city of Napoli, or Naples. Naples is famous for its savory creations, most popularly, pizza, but many beloved Neapolitan dishes originated from cucina povera, or the cuisine of the poor. These dishes are rich in vegetables, beans, and pastas. Join us for this interactive cooking experience and learn from our experienced Chef Instructor as we make Acqua Pazza (Poached Fish) with Spaghetti alla Puttanesca.

Kudos to Keuka

Join NYK Beverage University Instructor, Sandy Waters, as we give Kudos to Keuka, the Y-shaped lake that sits in the middle of the 11 Finger Lakes and feels like a little slice of magic. This class will provide a history of the crooked lake, an introduction to a few key wineries, and an overview of things to do and see around the lake beyond wine–all while you explore and enjoy five Keuka Lake wines paired with a cheese plate. You’ll leave with your next weekend getaway planned.
