The Susquehanna River meanders along the southern tier of the Finger Lakes Region, serene in the sunshine, fierce in a storm, but at its best when the glorious colors of autumn adorn its banks. I love taking a walk along the riverbank on a crisp autumn morning, when the mist is dancing on the water and the early morning sunshine casts a soft glow on the leaves reflected in the water. Autumn is the last hurrah for boaters and fishermen before the stillness of winter sets in, and it provides them with river relaxation with a palette of color all around. Plan your own visit and enjoy a Susquehanna River autumn.
