Snowshoeing in the Wetlands

Winter is a wonderful season in the Finger Lakes, one that lends itself to unique outdoor activities – just don’t forget your gloves and hats! Follow along with Finger Lakes Museum’s volunteers Helen and Brenda in this video documenting their snowshoe trek through the Townsend Grady Wildlife Preserve in Branchport. Beautiful sunshine, abundant bird species and magnificent scenery were captured by Helen to share with you.

The Townsend Gray Wildlife Preserve trails are free of charge and open daily for public use. Strap on snowshoes or boots to explore on your own or join in on one of the upcoming winter activities with Finger Lakes Museum staff.

May this video inspire you to get out and get exploring!
