Fundraiser event will be held on Sunday, May 26

Cancer today has touched most of us in one way or another.  Naples and the surrounding communities are feeling the effect of this nasty disease as they rally to raise funds for one of their own, Timothy Moore of Inspire Moore Winery.

Several years ago, Tim beat melanoma, only to be  told earlier this year cancer has raised it’s ugly head again in the form of Stage 4 brain metastases.  Tim and his lovely wife, Diane, once again, did their research that led them to one of the best brain cancer oncologists from NYU to receive monthly immunotherapy treatments in New York City.  He will continue this therapy for a year.  This cancer and treatment does, however,  have many side effects, causing the Moore family challenges in their daily routines.  As Diane and Tim own Inspire Moore Winery and have raised 5 children, all who have been an integral part of the Naples fabric, a number of friends have organized a major fundraiser for the Moores, to help cover the numerous medical expenses related to the treatment plan.  You can read more about the family as they walk this path with an optimistic, positive and loving attitude by going to Caring Bridge or on FB at “Moore Time for Tim Moore.”

As Tim and Diane have hosted many local and national musical acts at the winery, it’s only fitting that an event be held to spread the joy, love and gratitude which is so valuable during this battle for health and life.  Over 75 volunteers and numerous wineries, breweries, restaurants, shops, artists and individuals have donated an amazing amount of beverages, vacation trips, overnight stays, art and collectables to be auctioned off during the MOORE TIME FOR TIM MOORE event on Sunday, May 26 from 3 – 10 p.m. at Parish Hill Barn, 5325 Rt. 245 in Naples.

The many highlights of this Memorial weekend event include a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, numerous food trucks, wine and beer bars, T-shirt sales, an open bluegrass jam between 3 – 5 p.m., followed by live entertainment from White Woods and Mozaic Foundation.  Several local wine masters have created a signature, limited wine in honor of Tim entitled Resilience, as did Stoneyard Brewing Co. who created a limited edition of beer in cans, called Moore Beer.  The Crush Bus will shuttle folks from Inspire Moore Winery parking areas to the Parish Hill Barn, where parking is also available.

Tickets are available in advance at Roots Cafe, the winery, Artizanns and Josephs Wayside Market or at the event for $20.  Cash is preferred, though credit cards accepted.
