Keuka Lake Steamboats

There were several grand steamboats that plied the scenic waters of Keuka Lake over the eighty years between 1835 and 1915. The locals and the excursionists from elsewhere all had their favorites at any given time whether because of the boat, the captain or the combination. The first Steuben, the Halsey, the Yates, the Urbana, Cricket – all were favored by passengers at a given time. The grandest of them all, however, was the Mary Bell.
