Majorpalooza Community Thank You

Memorial Day Weekend

Please join Majorpalooza organizer Chris Major & volunteers as they kick-off the summer on Sunday, May 24, 2020. Several fun social distance friendly activities are planned, all involving live music. Tune in on Sunday, from 4-5 p.m. for a live stream performance by The Beatles cover band, Magical Mystery Tour (MMT). Moondog’s Lounge has generously organized this show, and the band has donated their time to perform as a fundraiser to benefit Majorpalooza.

Chris Major shared, “We are humbled and grateful for the support of both Moondog’s and Magical Mystery Tour. A virtual tip jar will be set up, and any donations will go directly to Majorpalooza. We’re sad that we won’t see you all this year, but thanks to all for the community support, and we’ll be back in 2021, better than ever.” Donations can be made from their website and gofundme page.

Prior to the virtual MMT performance Sunday, starting at noon while supplies last, Majorpalooza is donating hot dogs & chips to the first 500 people attending a drive-through food & drink service. The location is in the back parking lot behind the Ancient Order of Hibernians, located at 79 Van Anden Street, between State Street and Cross Street. To provide some musical entertainment while you’re waiting in your car, enjoy acoustic music by Mike McNabb, playing from Noon – 2PM.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 at Noon, Jim Van Arsdale and his students from Perform 4 Purpose will be live streaming outside the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center. To watch the performance, and donate to this organization & the others they in turn support, please visit their Facebook page.https://www.facebook.com/donate/2957886497665541/3143713062316413/

The corporation also provides assistance to youth programs in our community.” For more information, please contact Chris Major at majorpalooza@hotmail.com.
