A few years back I watched with regret as Finger Lakes Magazine withered and died, because I was convinced that there was indeed a market for a lakes-region magazine. I kept my fingers crossed that somebody would come along, sense the opportunity and roll the dice.
Nice job, Mark. You and your staff are putting out a magazine that you can be very proud of. Each issue is packed with quality reading (even the ads!), and I cherish every one.
Sincerely,
John, Greene, New York
Mark,
Thank you kindly for the free copies and for running the article itself. It’s very flattering and I’m honored you gave me so much ink.
Best regards,

I happened to be in Wegmans the other day and saw your cover article on whitewater kayaking. Since I am in the business, I bought the issue hoping you might have included my facility, but no such luck. So I wanted to bring to your attention that the Genesee Waterways Center (www.geneseewater
ways.org) built the first whitewater park in upstate New York in 1996. It is 700 feet long and has Class 1 and 2 drops.
I then happened acrosss the peregrine falcon story and lo and behold, I see my name in it since I started the Rochester Peregrine Falcon project in 1994 and as the article said, convinced Kodak to place the nest box on top of its corporate office, As they say, the rest is history.
Best,
Dennis, Waterloo
