The Cheshire Union is celebrating the creativity of young minds with a student art show from the Homeschool Academy of Henrietta. Students ages 11-18 will showcase their artwork done over the course of 20+ weeks. Teacher, Melissa Gillette, is in her first year of teaching for the Homeschool Academy, but has been involved with The Cheshire Union since 2020. Melissa rents studio space within The Cheshire Union, where she sells handmade earrings, home decor and pottery. She also teaches classes in a wide variety of mediums for all ages.
The show is in conjunction with a Homeschool Art Course, geared towards kids of all ages, that will also be hosted at The Cheshire Union. The course is scheduled for every Friday in April, 1-3pm and will cover painting, drawing, mixed media and more. The Homeschool Academy Student Art show will be on display from April 2nd-May 8th with an opening reception on Saturday, April 2nd from 12-4pm. Light refreshments will be served.
