If dining is your pleasure, our many restaurants and eateries have something waiting for you. Choices range from regional Italian, Mexican, and new American cuisine, to great burgers, pizza and sweet treats. Several charming Bed & Breakfast inns offer lodging for mid-week getaways or restorative long weekends.

With over 75 artists on display in our galleries and unique shops, 100 antique dealers offering their one of a kind finds, a variety of clothing and specialty food stores and our still thriving bookstore, if small town shopping is on your agenda then you’ve reached your destination.

The Nightlife in our historic village is just as vibrant as our daytime amenities. The best in regional music and entertainment is on offer every weekend, along with our very own brewery, craft cocktail bars and hometown watering holes!

Looking for a festival? The Annual Owego Strawberry Festival has become a staple of upstate New York summer fun!  Since the debut of the Owego Strawberry Festival 38 years ago, hundreds of thousands of people have been drawn to downtown Owego to experience its charm. An estimated 20,000 visitors come back year after year. The 2018 Strawberry Festival will be held on June 15 and 16.

Winter doesn’t stop us here in Owego! Santa stops by early on Saturday, November 11  as our Holiday Showcase marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season.  We end the year with a spectacular firework display over the Susquehanna River during Lights on the River, Friday December 7.
