Art can take many forms: realistic or abstract, geometric or free-flowing, flat or 3-dimensional, monochromatic or bursting with color. Limited only by the imagination, inclination, and talent of the artist, the choices are infinite. For Carolyn Campbell, art arises from “fabric, thread, and a sewing machine, plus TIME – many, many happy hours.

Quilted: Cotton & Color Combined will be on display from November 1 – 30 on T., Th. – Sat. 12 – 4 p.m. or by appointment at 179 Front Street.

Trees of Our Lives: An Exhibition by T. Benjamin Hobbs Opens Friday, December 6, from 5 – 8 pm

“All of my furniture features hand-fit joinery, solid hardwoods, carefully executed detailing and a durable hand rubbed oil finish that allows one to feel the grain of the wood while highlighting its natural beauty…Many of the pieces on display in this exhibit had their start right here in the woods of Tioga County. I carefully select trees for thinning so the remaining woods are left healthier and with more space to grow…As you enjoy this exhibit of my work please also think of the beauty of the woods and individual trees that surround us and their role in these creations,” states Hobbs.

This exhibition will be on display from December 6 – 21 on T. – Sat. 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., or by appointment.
