“Our programming once again highlights the diverse scope of contributions to classical music and demonstrates the universal nature of our art,” says Artistic Director Geoffrey Herd. “We aim to give voice to the possibilities of our time, breaking through exclusionary barriers that, historically, have unfairly restricted composers and performers. The classical canon has traditionally denied audiences the opportunity to experience the range and depth that music offers.”
The safety of the musicians and audiences is of utmost importance to festival organizers. Most of the concerts will be held at the Smith Opera House with a couple events held outdoors. The venues will accommodate the ongoing need for social distancing while still offering the opportunity for the community to enjoy live music.
While there will be limited seating for in-person concerts, most of the events will be live streamed for those who feel more comfortable watching from home.
All tickets to each in-person concert or livestream are $25, and free for ages 18 and under. The festival respectfully asks that you purchase a ticket for each person watching the livestream. Please also keep in mind that tickets will not be able to be purchased at the door for the in-person concerts.
