Finger Lakes Literary Journal Releases Landmark Tenth Issue

Bluff & Vine, the premier annual literary journal created to showcase and preserve the literary arts and visual talent of the Finger Lakes region, officially announces publication of its milestone Issue Ten.

Founded in 2016, Bluff & Vine has spent a decade capturing original fiction, poetry, and memoir rooted in central New York. Issue Ten explores local history, humor, mythology, social media, and more through memoir, fiction, and poetry.

“We’re so proud to have been doing this for a decade,” says co-editor Bethany Snyder. “We love knowing these words and images are captured forever in the pages we produce.” Snyder notes that issues of Bluff & Vine are archived in the Rare Books and Special Collections unit of the University of Rochester Library, ensuring the preserved legacy of Finger Lakes voices for generations to come.

“Reaching our tenth issue is proof of how vibrant the local writing community is,” says co-editor Alex Andrasik. “We had a dream of building a lasting home for the creative spirit of the Finger Lakes, to ensure these voices and these stories endure. And here we are, ten years later.”

To celebrate the anniversary release, Snyder and Andrasik will host a table at Fall Fest in downtown Penn Yan on Saturday, October 3, 2026, where visitors will have the opportunity to meet the editors, discuss the regional literary arts, and purchase copies in person.

Bluff & Vine, including Issue Ten, is available in paperback and digital formats on Amazon, and physical copies are on the shelves at Longs’ Cards and Books in Penn Yan. More information and submission guidelines can be found at bluffandvine.com.
