  • Painting Beyond Observation with Jaci Ayorinde

Workshop Saturday, February 11, 10 am–1 pm, ages 12+, FREE

This workshop will give participants the opportunity to look deeply at a natural object and create drawings in concert with their intuition. Jaci Ayorinde comments, “This process of reflection provides a vehicle to appreciate the nature of things as they are, combined with the promptings of the spirit, then expressed without any struggle or desire to achieve. This will be a space to relax and open your senses to the phenomenal world and take the opportunity to respond to it.” Small drawings will be created then painted. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Class size limited.

  • Geneva History Mural Paint-along

Saturday, February 25, 10 am–1 pm

February 17–March 3, Monday through Friday, 12–5 pm

Put on your painting clothes and join the fun as we create an artful tribute to Geneva! The Dove presents a week-long community mural project to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the city of Geneva. Local artists Bernadette Bos and Victor Pultinus have designed two murals reflecting on Geneva’s history that will be painted on the east wall of the community room. They will sketch the design, then the community is invited in to help bring it to life with paint! On March 3, the finished mural will be revealed at a public reception at 5 pm.
