Whether you’re a third-generation native or a seasonal visitor, you’ll find something to capture your imagination, if not your heart, in the ninth issue of Bluff & Vine, the literary magazine of the Finger Lakes.
Created by local authors Bethany Snyder and Alex Andrasik, Bluff & Vine is a collection of original poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction that celebrates the unique landscapes and spirit of the Finger Lakes region. Issue Nine continues their mission to provide a dedicated platform for the diverse literary talent within the local community and those who love this unique area.
“Our region provides inspiration to an incredible range of creative voices, each offering a fresh perspective on what it means to live, work, and be inspired by the beauty of the Finger Lakes,” says Andrasik. “It’s an honor to provide a platform for their work.”
Snyder notes that she and Andrasik remain surprised and enthralled by the depth and breadth of each year’s submissions. “After almost a decade of collecting stories and poems about the Finger Lakes, you’d think we’d seen it all. But every time – whether it’s a memoir, a haiku, or fiction – we learn something new about this place through the words of our talented writers.”
Along with fiction, nonfiction, and poetry by emerging and established writers, Issue Nine features a painting by local artist Kathryn Disbrow on its distinctive cover.
