Join Charles Stackhouse, President of the New York Forest Owners Association and a Master Forest Owner volunteer, as he leads us for a walk in the woods. Charles will discuss the history of the woods here in the Finger Lakes and what the future holds for our woods. We will identify some trees, compare young to old forests, and talk about wildlife habitat.
We will be walking on woods trails and there will be a few moderately steep stretches. The length of the walk will be about 2 miles and take approximately 2 1/2 hours. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and rain gear if it looks threatening.
This event is free. Please click here to register and for directions to walk location.
