~ FRED VINE and Lynn Pigage ~
Fred Vine is a singer and fingerstyle guitarist from Rochester, NY.
A master of “Piedmont” style and Delta bottleneck slide guitar, his versatile guitar techniques are displayed in a repertoire rich with traditional blues, compelling instrumentals and captivating songs. Fred’s musical tastes are eclectic, ranging from acoustic blues, jazz, original compositions, through American Songbook and contemporary songs.
You’ll hear hints of bluesmen Rev. Gary Davis, Robert Johnson, Son House, Mississippi John Hurt, Jelly Roll Morton and certainly Chet Atkins in Fred’s laid back yet engaging and witty stage presence that connects with his audience. Fred has several recordings to his credit. “Mister Freddy Blues” (a compendium of roots blues), “Crystal River Blues” (a mixed bag of jazz, blues and contemporary), “Cruising on the Belle” and “Genesee Delta Stomp”, which showcases Fred’s original music. As a seasoned performer, Fred has shared the stage with Muddy Waters, John Hammond, Guy Davis, Dave Van Ronk and many others.
Fred will be joined by singer and ukulele player Lynn Pigage for a few classic folk blues tunes as well as some traditional chestnuts.
