The Ultimate Last Word: Write Your Own Obituary  – Class w/ Roger Segelken

WHEN: Thursdays 2-4pm, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, and 11/9

WHERE: Joe Mareane Conference Room (Second Floor) in the Tompkins Center for History & Culture on the Ithaca Commons – 110 North Tioga St. Ithaca NY 14850.

Do you trust your next-of-kin to get your story straight? If not, write your own obituary in advance – while theres still time! Join a 4-session workshop led by former New York Times obituary writer and docent at The History Center, H. Roger Segelken. The sessions will be held Thursdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. (10/19, 10/26, 11/2, and 11/9).  The expectation is that participants attend all four sessions in-person.

This workshop series is co-hosted by the Greater Ithaca Activities Center Senior Program & The History Center in Tompkins County.

ACCESSIBILITY – This program is offered in a wheelchair and mobility device accessible room on the second floor, steps from the elevator. The program will be presented in English. If you have other questions please explore or contact us.

COVID-19 POLICY – The History Center will follow the most up to date guidance from the Tompkins County Health Department.
