Great wine depends on nature. Clean air and water, healthy soil, and a stable climate are critical ingredients for successful wine-making in the Finger Lakes. What’s more, the natural beauty of this region—our sparkling lakes, dramatic gorges, and diverse forests and farms—are all part of why the Finger Lakes was named top U.S. wine region this year. But how will a changing climate shape the future of wine here? How will we tackle threats posed by extreme weather, harmful algal blooms and invasive pests? And seize opportunities—including those that come from a community that values nature?

Join The Nature Conservancy for a lively panel discussion on the Future of Wine in the Finger Lakes to learn about work being done by The Nature Conservancy, Cornell, local wineries and others to sustain the land, water and climate that are the underpinning of our region’s economy, quality of life, and distinct terroir.
