Talking Tots on Tuesdays
An informal, educational and support group will be offered at LLCC to parents and caregivers regarding early childhood development. Participants will learn about typical child development across all domains and have the opportunity to share their successes, questions and concerns regarding their children. Parents will be encouraged to share their ideas and to support each other. (This course does not qualify as a required course for licensure as a child care provider.)
Dates: Three sessions on July 7, 14 and 21, 2020
Time: 10:00 to 11:00 a. m.; social time following sessions until 11:30.
Location: Sessions will meet outside in front of the building, weather permitting. Otherwise, sessions will be held in the Community Room. Please bring your own chair for outdoor sessions. Social distancing will be maintained.
Children are welcome as long as they can remain quietly in view and have toys, books, etc. to keep them occupied. Screen devices are not recommended.
Limit: 10 participants.
Cost: $5.00 per session.
No special equipment is required.

The facilitator has had over 50 years of experience with infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers, evaluating and treating for speech-language delays and disabilities. She has provided most of her services within the context of child care and Head Start centers, and has offered hundreds of in-service training sessions to colleagues and caregivers, as well as educational programs for parents.
