200 YEARS OF TRANSPORATION

Steuben County historians,
historical societies and local history
enthusiasts are excited to announce our
fourth annual Local History Awareness
Week. The event will center on aspects
of the history of transportation in
Steuben County and how it has evolved over the years.

EVENTS

Exhibits created by individuals and groups
throughout the county will be on display at the
Finger Lakes Boating Museum from October 4 —
8, 2021. Guides from local historical societies will
be present to assist visitors and groups and to
answer questions.

The Program Finale of the week’s events will be
on Saturday, October 8th with a *free* bus tour
leaving from the Finger Lakes Boating Museum.
The tour will stop at various sites related to
transportation around Steuben County and will
also include raffling off a basket filled with travel
necessities. If you are interested in further information or
would like to schedule a visit for a school group,
contact County Historian Emily Simms: (607) 664-2199
