Opening Night welcomes recent Grammy nominee, the “genuinely exciting” Aizuri Quartet (New York Times). Their program brings together classics by Haydn and Brahms (Piano Quintet) with fresh new music from their Grammy-nominated album: Gabriella Smith’s thrilling and whimsical Carrot Revolution (inspired by both Bach and Simon & Garfunkel) and Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw’s Blueprint, based on a quartet by Beethoven.
