Experience an extraordinary musical meditation: the Aizuri Quartet performs their own arrangement of rapturous music by medieval prophetess and composer Hildegard von Bingen, followed by Steve Reich’s unforgettable masterpiece, Different Trains, a rumination on American and European pathways during World War II, accompanied by vintage recorded train sounds. The second half of the program features Dvořák’s sunny, exuberant Sextet for Strings, featuring cellist and longtime festival favorite, Steve Doane.
