Join artists Jean and Bill Stephens for this free workshop at Cumming Nature Center!
Jean and Bill will discuss the idea of the using portals in art and finding this motif in nature—a portal can be a hole, a doorway, or passage which takes you from one place to another, either figuratively or metaphorically. Participants will then venture out onto the grounds of the nature center to identify and capture portals in sketchbooks or plein air painting/drawing. The workshop will end with a gathering to discuss and show artwork that was made.
Saturday, May 21 2022, 12–3pm.
Please bring the supplies you’d like to use during this workshop. A sketchbook and drawing tools, or plein air supplies will work best.
Cumming Nature Center is located at: 6472 Gulick Rd, Naples, NY 14512 (specific meeting location will be sent via email the day before the workshop)
