Join us on Tuesday, November 21st at 7:00pm at the museum,18 Perrin Street, as Perinton Town Historian Bill Poray presents 1970s Urban Renewal in Fairport. In communities across the United States, Urban Renewal programs, funded primarily by Federal investments, changed the face of cities and towns, largely in the 1960s and 1970s. This program will provide a unique window into how Fairport’s Urban Renewal program dramatically impacted the village, its businesses, and families. For the first time ever, this presentation will share with the audience images, documents and news stories from the period before, during, and after the completion of Urban Renewal in Fairport. This event is free and is open to the public. No registration required.
