Perinton Historical Society

Want to know what house has mice in Fairport? Discover the answer on September 29th from 1-5 at the Perinton Historical Society House tour. This year’s tour will feature seven homes on three streets on West Ave, West Street and Woodlawn Avenue. West Street is one of the earliest streets in the Village of Fairport with many homes built between 1852 and 1872. West Avenue used to be called Cherry Street, because of the extensive cherry orchard at the site of what is now Packett’s Glen. The street originally went from Main Street to West Street. Woodlawn Avenue was originally named Woodland Ave after the six acre Woodland Farms located on the avenue.
Admission with membership starting as low as $10.00. Tickets will be available at the Fairport Museum, 18 Perrin Street in the Village. To find out more about the house tour and all the benefits of membership to the Perinton Historical Society call 585-223-3989 or check the website for more information
