Pancake Breakfast to Help New and Improved “Nifty Thrifty”

A Pancake Breakfast will be held on Saturday, May 18, from 8-11 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 9 Phelps St, Lyons.  New Hope Mills pancakes, sausage, apple sauce, maple syrup, pancake syrup, milk, juice, coffee, tea and water will be served.  Donation being requested is $6/person, children under 5 are free, and families of 4 or more may dine for $20.

Donations will be used to pay for work to completely renovate the thrift shop which is housed at 11 Queen Street, Lyons.  Right down the hall from the Lyons Community Food Pantry.  The entrance is the yellow door, just off the parking lot between the Presbyterian Church and the Methodist Church.  Work has begun.  Opening is targeted for sometime in June!

Supported by the Lyons Inter-Church Council, the new “Nifty Thrifty” will feature gently used clothing, collectibles, housewares and other miscellaneous items.  All proceeds from the Nifty Thrifty will be donated to the Lyons Community Food Pantry to help with their operating costs.

Persons wishing to make additional donations towards this important community service may send checks payable to “First Presbyterian Church Lyons”.  Please put “Nifty Thrifty” in the memo area and send it to 11 Queen St, Lyons, NY  14489. If funds donated exceed those needed for the renovations, they will be given to the Lyons Community Food Pantry.
