Presentation by Robert Norton Local Historian

Presentation Entitled

“The Story of “That particular spot in New York State” and How it Impacted American Farming”.

Cayuga County has been home to several important and largely forgotten inventors and manufactures who specialized in agricultural equipment. During the late 19th and early 20th century Cayuga County was the largest producer of agricultural implements worldwide and their products were shipped all over the globe. This talk will focus on the different men and women who possessed the vision, skills, and tenacity that made this period of our history possible. Come and remember a time when Auburn led in innovations that truly befitted people across our young country and the world.
