Living History Event: Gifts of the Haudenosaunee

Ganondagan State Historic Site


Immerse yourself, your friends, and family in the rich gifts of the Haudenosaunee culture, heritage, and traditions. This full day includes:
– Demonstrations of open-pit pottery firing and basketmaking
– Cornbread- and venison stew-making with free samples
– Two performances of Iroquois Social Dancing (12 noon and 3 pm)
– Seneca Jr. Olympics for ages 9-16 in a pentathlon of archery, atlatl throw, javelin, lacrosse relay and tumpline race

Admission is $8/adults; $5/members, seniors, and students with ID; and free for children five and younger. It includes all activities, admission to the Seneca Art & Culture Center exhibits, film, and gift shop, tour of the Seneca Bark Longhouse, and guided trail walks. Location is throughout Ganondagan State Historic Site. Re-enactors in accurate historic dress will make your experience even better!
