Introduce little ones to the Museum through FREE storytelling, puppet shows, music, and lots of fun!
Singer-songwriter Doc Possum has a special acoustic show just for us, including old favorites like Paperweight Pals and new songs about glass! Doc Possum performs at family events throughout the region and has been performing at the Museum since 2004.
Doc writes about the story of glass and often incorporates objects from the Museum’s collection into his song lyrics. His song, Look Inside, based on the Museum’s toddler book, Paperweight Pals, was a big hit at last year’s Little Gather and is great for both kids and parents to get up and dance around to!
Collection Connection: Stay after the performance and explore gallery objects. Can you find the Paperweight Pals in the collection?
The Southeast Steuben County Library will be on site for each Little Gather Family session at 11 am, offering selected pieces from their collection centered around the Little Gather theme of the week. Bring your local library card to check out these items and further enhance your Little Gather experience at home.
Bring your family at 11 am. Groups can attend a special 9:30 am show. Groups MUST register (space is limited) by calling 607.438.5113 or emailing littlegather@cmog.org.
