To start celebrating this breathtaking celestial event early, Rochester’s award-winning chamber group fivebyfive has created a one-of-a-kind concert experience for audiences. Five composers have written or arranged unique, eclipse inspired music for fivebyfive to play and there will be a fascinating, immersive video presented on a full dome of a planetarium.
Two shows have already sold out, so don’t miss your chance to hear LIVE music being played in the planetarium while you feast your eyes on incredible views of the universe!
Eclipse-theme snacks will be for sale as well as offerings of eclipse-oriented jewelry created by artists at Bead Breakout on Monroe Avenue. Each of the musicians will be wearing a piece of jewelry created for the occasion.
A pre-concert talk will take place starting at 3:30pm and all attendees are invited to a post-concert party at the Spirit Room at 139 State Street.
