Join artist and author, Renée Schuls-Jacobson for an exploratory mixed media workshop with a focus on creative release and embracing the process of letting go. The workshop will include finding inspiration and learning to trust the creative process through experimentation with various media, non-dominant hand drawing, and collage. This workshop is for anyone ages 12+.
*The workshop fee also includes a copy of Renée’s book, Psychiatrized: Waking Up After a Decade of Bad Medicine; which chronicles her harrowing experience coming off Klonopin, a commonly prescribed anti-anxiety medication & how art saved her life.
Join Renée at the MSA-owned bookstore, Sulfur Books following the workshop for a discussion on the themes and events covered in her book at 4 p.m. (the talk is geared toward people ages 16+).
