When considering ways to address justice issues such as race, gender identity, sexual orientation, and more, feeling unprepared on the fundamentals may lead to a hesitance to act.  In this new ongoing program, we will use expert guidance in an effort to raise our understanding so that we can participate with confidence in such important work.  This session, we explore the ways that American society devalues and dehumanizes people of color – a phenomenon that occurs both explicitly and implicitly, and contributes to numerous negative outcomes.  You are welcome to attend as many or as few of these events as you wish, but you will gain the most from consistent attendance.  To register, please visit https://bit.ly/pyequity.  Hosted by Penn Yan Public Library.
