With the sole purpose of promoting the art of the classic guitar and its rich history, John’s eclectic repertoire includes a variety of solo guitar works from the Renaissance to the present day. A large portion of his music focuses on Spanish & Latin American Guitar Masterpieces. His repertoire consists of original works for guitar by contemporary composers as well as transcriptions from many musical sources.

John is a graduate of the Crane School of Music. His performances have been for public and private engagements and he often performs in a variety of bands, groups and ensembles. His concert appearances have been at colleges, guitar festivals & other musical organization events. Some recent performances include events at The Crane School of Music, Onondaga Community College, Civic Morning Musicals, Skidmore College, Syracuse Sound of Music, Setnor School of Music, the Temple Society of Concord, Day of Guitar Festival, Classical Guitar Society of Upstate NY and The Great Lakes Guitar Society.

In addition to honing his skill as a performing artist, John is a dedicated instructor. An award winning teacher, John is busy instructing a large number of students at the Music School of CNY. This is a private studio offering many lesson programs for students of all types. Many of his students are hobbyists while others have advanced to careers in music & have been accepted into top colleges & universities nationwide.

This concert benefits the Community Preservation Committee’s care of the Willard Memorial Chapel. Admission is $10 per person at the door. The Chapel is handicap accessible through its north entrance off Seymour Street. Tickets may be purchased at Willard Chapel, 17 Nelson Street, Auburn, NY during our regular hours Tuesday-Friday 10 am – 5 pm.
