Two Full Days Feature Music, Family Entertainment, Food, and Shopping Galore!
The Geneseo Summer Festival, celebrating its 32nd year, will be held on July 6th and 7th in the Village of Geneseo. The event is free and open to the public. The Village Park is transformed into an exciting venue of family fun and entertainment for everyone. Festival goers are invited to an exciting schedule of music and entertainment, shopping galore, and a variety of foods. Activities are planned for all ages and include ~ Shopping and Food. Shopping enthusiasts are invited to browse downtown shops and stroll the sidewalks for food, local wares and amenities. Festival fans will find arts, crafts and so much more on display at booths in the Village Park. Music and Entertainment. Music lovers will find bands and entertainment continuously, showcasing local talent throughout both days. The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra will hold its Summer Spectacular with Fireworks at the Saratoga Field at SUNY Geneseo on Friday night at 8:30PM. Tickets are available at www.rpo.org. Back by popular demand, the Skycoasters will perform free at the Village Park on Saturday night starting at 8:00pm. Children’s Activities. Plenty of fun activities for kids to enjoy. There will be a petting zoo, bounce house, rock climbing wall and more. An annual favorite, the Teddy Bear Parade sponsored by the Village and the Welcome Center, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 7th. Participants start gathering at 10:30am at Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church on Main Street.
