Two person exhibit: Stan Bowman – Paris Contrasts, and Rachel Kaufmann – Landscapes and Dreamscapes: Watercolor Explorations.
Stan Bowman: In 1986, Stan spent 6 months in Paris on sabbatic leave. “Paris is a marvelous old classic city, but at the same time it is a modern metropolis. There was a rick mixture of classical architecture with contemporary sights, signs and posters that reflected the modern life of the city. During my time there I created a series of images that reflected these two contrasting views of the city, using a 8×10 wood field camera. This exhibit tell that story!
Rachel Kaufmann: This exhibit encompasses early and more recent pieces from several decades of watercolor work, touching on the themes of consistency and change, wonder and agency, beauty and transcendence, in the life of the artist and the world all around.
