Learn from others and share your own tips and stories from your genealogical journeys in this ongoing, participant-driven program. This month, Sara E. Campbell brings her engineering training into solving genealogical problems. She has self-published a family genealogy titled “Six Generations in Otsego.” She is a frequent lecturer at regional societies and libraries. Land records can provide details of where your ancestors came from and where they went, and can help fill in the timeline of their lives. Names found in deeds can round out the FAN club. Do you want to stand on the land your ancestors owned? Deeds can take you there. In this session, we will cover the standard format of deeds, explore where to find deeds, and graphically plot what the deeds tell us. Hosted by Penn Yan Public Library.
