What is trauma? How is it different from stress? How does a traumatic experience affect the brain and body? Are relationships impacted by trauma and grief? How do we take care of ourselves in the aftermath of trauma? How can I be a support to a friend who is grieving a loss? How do I seek out help?

If these questions sound familiar, join us for an introductory, virtual presentation on trauma and grief, presented by a licensed therapist, certified in trauma-informed practice. You will learn ways to understand and define trauma, common symptoms of trauma and grief, and information pertaining to trauma-informed care and mental health treatment options.

The presentation will cover sensitive topics and emotionally heavy material. The presenter will provide a few options to ground participants throughout the presentation through mindfulness exercises; however, participant discretion is advised based on the subject matter.
