ABOUT
Join the Society for the Humanities for a panel discussion with Kurt Jordan, author of The Gayogohó:no˛’ People in the Cayuga Lake Region: A Brief History, Sachem Sam George (Gayogohó:no˛’ Nation), Steven Henhawk (Gayogohó:no˛ language teacher), and Jolene Rickard (Ska:rù:rę’/Tuscarora, associate professor of art and history of art at Cornell) followed by a public conversation / Q&A.
All attendants are requested to have completed reading the book before the program and come with questions prepared.
The event will serve as a kick off for the Society’s 2022-23 theme of “Repair.” Books will be available for free for those who plan to attend the discussion
FREE BOOKS CAN BE PICKED UP AT the A/D. White House, AIISP (482 Caldwell Hall), and The History Center in Tompkins County (Open W-Sat 10-5 each week)
