The CNY Emerging Artist Project showcases ten emerging artists from the Central New York region with a new show each month, from March to November.
Each Emerging Artist Project will open with a reception on the third Thursday of the month.
Todd Bachta and Star Greathouse are our eighth iteration of the CNY Emerging Artist Project!
Todd uses a variety of medium to create his artwork including charcoal, colored pencils, acrylic, and oil paint. The subject matter being rendered usually determines the art material used. He uses a variety of photographic references to observe from creating a very detailed pencil drawing for the color to drop into.
Star regards her work as a journey. She starts with a photo or two or part of a photo then use apps on her iPad or iPhone to manipulate or morph it into something that barely resembles the original. Sometimes it all falls together and sometimes it falls into the trash. Then, she starts another journey.
Join us on October 17 for Star Greathouse and Todd Bachta’s Opening Reception.
$5 Admission, Museum Members Free. Light refreshments will be served.
