New York’s beautiful Finger Lakes region is a world-renowned destination for glass and wine. But did you know it also has a rich history of road racing? In October 1948, cars roared down the village streets of Watkins Glen in the first road race in the United States post-World War II. Fast forward to today, Watkins Glen is now home to Watkins Glen International—a celebrated speedway destination for motor-racing enthusiasts and drivers alike.
The Museum is a proud partner of WGI and is honored to create the glass trophy for its NASCAR race each year.
* Admission required for demonstrations, scavenger hunt, and trophy photos.
